+HIM... that sucks..

HIM is supposed to be metal?!?!?!?
I like 'em, but I think they're some Gothic Pop mixture....

Hey, none of you has mentioned the VERY WORST METAL BAND EVER:

biobanner3.jpg

Bio Rot make a point of being the worst metal band in the world, and they give their worst to achieve that aim :D Their guitarist held a guitar in his hands for 3 times in his life:
1) to record the demo they send to the organizers of the Nebelmondparty (NMP)
2) NMP III gig
3) NMP IV gig
I read the guitarist broke two strings on their NMP III gig and it didn't make them sound any different
Wow, I just saw, they have a homepage... I guess they spent more time writing the homepage than the guitarist spent playing and practicing in his whole life :loco:

Shitty metal like Deicide or Cannibal. Stupid satanic freak wanna-bes that look nothing more than butt-tards trying to look all badass scary and evil at the same time. Makes me want to run up to them with my 46 inch blade in hand and show them how much they suck. Fucking freaks!

So your saying Death, Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, and anything that comes from the USA is shit. [....] If you knew anything you would know what an influence these bands have on people.

i'm sorry to break into the conversation, i didn't even follow it or anything, but i just gazed at that remark and oh man... dude did you ever heard of the band called "Metallica"? they make fucking horrible music (since the black album) and together with Nirvana they influenced most USA bands than any other, does that make them good? no fucking way! i tend to think ALL usa bands are crappy exactly because of that influence! that's why i tend to european metal, cause it's half a world away from all that commercialism ball that is the United States!

there might be exceptions such as Dream Teather and some other (i don't listen to Iced Earth or In Flames, never got around to try them)
but in the big generality of cases, the rule is true! the bands do tend to that commercialist metallica/nirvana sound which fucking blows!

this is a highly opinionated conclusion and i won't claim that it's valid over anyone else's conclusion, but at least try to spot the few REAL facts there!

Heya EEF, In Flames is Swedish, they kick ass (well not that much ass on the latest albums, they seem to be selling out more and more :erk: ).

Korn, Deftones and Fear Factory had way more influence on today's metal than most ppl think. Nirvana, Metallica, Pantera and Slayer are all integral parts of the sad state of today's music too.

Limp Bizkit once called themselves a metal band haaha. Suck my dick fuckin fred durst.

And if we gotta look towards a real metal band, obviously Slipknot. They are destroying the meaning of the words metal band

Huh... the worst band I have ever listened to is a band called Children Of Bodom o_Oo_Oo_O

hehe just joking

Worst metal band: STEEL LORD

but it´s funny and true metal!!!!!!

Yeah, Metallica does suck balls. But like you said, they were good until the black album came out. As for Nirvana, they weren't and aren't classified as metal. Nirvana created the 'Seattle' music scene known as grunge. A lot of bands were influenced by Nirvana and joined the grunge scene yet must of them were underground (i.e. Mudhoney, Tad, etc.). Most of these bands were signed on Nirvana's first record label (before they signed with Geffen), the Seattle based Sub-Pop Records. After the incident in 1994, the grunge scene died, quickly. Some people classify most of the bands that were famous during the time Nirvana was grunge. Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains etc. were classified as grunge when in fact, they weren't/aren't. I don't think that Queensryche was ever classfied as grunge though. I'm sure you already know this, but I believe I have a lot of knowledge about Nirvana and the Seattle music scene when it existed (even though it sucked ass) so I thought I would just put in my $0.02.

I don't hate every band from america at all. Just the metal bands that i've heard.

So you're saying you hate the old Metallica, Megadeth, Death/Control Denied, Slayer, Dream Theater/Liquid Tension Experiment, Pantera, White Zombie, Sabbath (even though they were from Europe, they became famous here), Black Label Society, Maiden (I do believe they got famous here), Scorpions (again, I think they got their fame from here), COC, Anthrax, G n R, Ozzy, Satriani, Kiss, Sepultura/Soulfly (they got famous here), Van Halen, etc. etc. Is that all you need? Or do you need some more? I can give you more.......

werent we talking about where they came from just a minute ago. so exclude sabbath ozzy maiden even though im pretty sure they didnt get famous here. dt, lte, and satriani i would not call metal lol. Besides that, yes i dont like them.

DT and LTE are classified as progressive metal. So you are saying you don't like Slayer nor Death? Schuldiner was the godfather of metal and you don't like Death?

NP: Children of Bodom - Deadnight Warrior

Also, would you also classify part of Metallica not based from here because Lars was from Denmark? If Metallica is considered American based even though their drummer isn't from here originally, that would mean all of the bands with members not from here that formed their band and got famous here would be considered European based.

well i'm not a metallica fan

Not my point. I was clearly pointing out the fact that Lars isn't originally from the U.S. even though Metallica is considered U.S. based. I understand that it's different that only one member from Metallica is from Europe than having the whole band like Sabbath, but I think that would be condradicting the situation. So what will we consider Metallica now, 1/4th American based?
