The new Old Man Gloom can only be described as violently heavy. The one is very good. The other is stupendous! The most exciting thing I've heard in quite some time.

In my quest to listen to every CD in my collection that I haven't heard yet (down to 4 as of this morning!), I came across a Bela Fleck and the Flecktones album. After giving it an honest shot, about halfway through, I could no longer take it, but didn't put my finger on it, until I suddenly yelled...

"Why don't I like this?! Because this is fucking banjo jazz!!!"

and yeah, pretty solid folk/rock/psych whatever. Not a fan of the coldwave/electro vibe of the last album though.
