here are some more pictures of my regius.
in general it's a very good build and sounding guitar.
i love the optics, the shape and the simplicity.
unfortunately i had some troubles with this one,
or better to say with the official dealer.
this guitar was not build EXACTLY as i wanted.
as you can see on the pix the bridge plate is in chrome, it should have been black. the
neck pickup should be a splitting duncan, they just built in the non splitting version.
after finding out that SD's will not make me happy exchanged the SD's with EMG's on my own cost btw.
the worst thing was the nut. seems they just took a standard righthand nut and sliced it
with an axe or something, the A and D string lies really deep in the nut, total stringbuzz.
i just ordered a lefthand TUSQ nut, on my own cost again.
the guitar jack was broken when the guitar arrives btw.
finally the top wood looks not really good drawn to the price i paid IMHO.
when i complained about the deficiency i just
got a "get it back to poland, then we will look at it"
FUCK, i've been waiting about three months for this,
just to give it away again for posible another three, FUCK!
i ordered by the official german mayones dealer and NOT directly from mayones.
i also had contact with the mayones guys,
really nice and kind guys!
who's to blame here? i really don't know.
so if you want a mayones guitar, please make sure
that you choose a
reliable dealer who will take
care of you if anything goes wrong.
i hope this is not too far away from topic!
cheers
