Any chance you remember the name of the 3rd party controllers? My friends and I bought some but they were shit and went dead on the second day. I always liked the original ones but they cost like $70 or even more these days, and the used ones have shitty joysticks.

I could be wrong, but I am almost positive it was just a cheap madcats one. But the joystick was considerably better than the garbage nintendo came out with.

I know you can swap out the joystick on the original with a 3rd party one that is better built but I don't know if it's all that popular to do anymore.
