He is high more than he has time to recover. I can't explain this, there's something wrong in his head forgetting those lyrics so bad, if he isn't high or in severe tension of performing in front of a big crowd (which he does every day). And his singing sucks major ass in the Nosturi gig.

Alexi is not at the top... they all have way to go. A real player "never" "ever" gives up practicing... Petrucci is not at the top too but he's 13 years older than Alexi; he's still saying he practices 2-3 hours a day at worst. Because he knows he has a lot to learn, still. He's not at the top, too. Alexi has a lot to learn, too.

Let's say I'm wrong; then, if you're at the top you'll have to "defend" that position and work/practice even harder. You'll have to release way better than AYDY... That's my opinion.

You realize a lot of true professional musicians who still "practice" have a much different agenda than what us amature musicians think of as "practice". John Petrucci (who by the way is near at the top of the prog/metal guitarist heep) may still practice, but you realize he has hours of music with dream theater and his solo project to stay on top of, as well as new riffs to write and nail down. Also I am sure he is studying forms of music he will never record or make available to the public. Shawn lane, for example, played tons of classical piano in his off time. I doubt he is going through his scales and learning maiden riffs like you might

Bodom have a different kind of vibe than Dream Theater theater, as much as you might say you don't like the song "in your face" to me that describes the music overall well. I think alexi stays on top of the material and the solos well enough, he is not playing in seated theaters to music nerds like dream theater you realize.

MacAlpine is not better than Petrucci and niether other way around.
you are comparing 2 monsters that one is better than the other depends what do you compare offcourse both are far beyond to stand for judgment of skills as technical as musical, you can compare young guitar players that has a lot to learn but this 2 are long time ago artists.
and that's just another example of what i mean that music and musical development is endless.

Maybe it is because I don't follow COB since their begining but I don't really think that Alexi's skill is decreaisng. AYDY ANd HCDR were just....other stuff then Hatebreeder. And yes he's maybe too many time drunk but I don'T think this is really affecting the "off stage" skills....but that's my opinion
