Cry :erk: - Obay, I will certainly miss you! But I want to wish you lots of success with your studies. If you need anything like pictures and stuff or want them send, just contact me!
I will not discuss dutch food here, it's not that great :ill: . But I love the food from medt. and middle east. Just bought me a lebanese, turkish and moroccan cookbook. Yummie!

Hugs,
Nathalie

Lebanese dishes are awesome, basicly the modern lebanese kitchen is a very interresting eclectic one, because it blends oriental food with french kitchen or the other way around.
there are a few good lebanese restaurants here in northern israel and also in tel aviv and jerusalem area.

Avi- are you a gourmet as well? This is another reason to go back to Isreal: I would love to get the chance to explore the oriental food a bit more. Sometimes it's hard to find the ingredients I need out here. I live in a very small village and have to go to a place like Rotterdam to get the things I need for the cooking. But the great thing is that the quest for the ingredients alone takes me to places in my own country that I normally would never go and then I discover nice little shops and markets where usually only the "foreign" people go.

Why why do I read this around dinner time??? Gets me really hungry!
Speaking of foreign affairs- has anyone of you ever had any ethiopian food? (no jokes pleazz) I once found this tiny place in Amsterdam where they specialised in it- the restaurant was not much to look at, but the food was great! Lots of nice dishes for vegitarians like me.

I know tabouleh- is it something I ate in Israel? I think it is.
Nocturnals, thank you for the tip on the restaurant, I am surely gonna go back to Jerusalem. But first things first, I have to have me some falafel!
I just love falafel and it is rumoured that the best falafel in Israel is being served in Jerusalem, but since I was only there for less than one day I did not have time to go to the restaurant. But I will next time!

Best Falafel in Jerusalem??? where?

actually, I love Humus as well.....and in my opinion the best Humus and Falafel you can find - in Abu-Gosh......it's an arab town near Jerusalem......
believe me......it's a must!

btw Eran!
they say that the best humus nowadays is made in Afula, by some israeli lady who opens her restaurant whenever she knows there`s people coming.. i`ll find out for you the name of teh place okie ?

I do not like humus at all- now don't shoot me pleazzz.
But you have this stuff called turkish salad> I love it!!! Last time I was in Israel I brought back one huge back of herbs, spices and food with me. At that time I was skinny as hell so the guy at customs said: lady you had better eat all of that cause you look like you need it!!!! Hajhahah- funny!

sure, we do, all the arabian part of the medeteranian cooks the same meals, I mean in Syria, Lebanon, Palastine, Jordan, and there are other special meals in Iraq, Egypt, KSA and Gulf countires, I don't know muc about west arab countries food like Sudan, Moroco, Lybia and the others.

ok, we have alot of things, molokhia, kosa mehshi, mogadara and all of you know Taboula and many many others.
there are arabian sweets which will drive you crazy about it, my dad takes arabian sweets as gifts for his friends in the non-arabian countries.
