What bands did you used to absolutely adore, but in time grew a hatred with a passion for? For me:

-In Flames (Though I'm still partial to their early works)
-Arch Enemy
-Cradle Of Filth
-Slayer (*Awaits flaming brigade for this one*)
-System Of A Down
-Axamenta
-DÅÅTH
-Slipknot
-Soulfly
-DevilDriver
-Still Remains
-Fear Factory
-Chimaira
-Shadows Fall

But anyway, I liked a majority of those bands in the early stages of being into metal, The further I pursued my interest in the music my taste became tolerant; in effect this made me realise that there were bands out there so much better.

In regards to Slayer...I just got bored of them quite quick.

Metallica. I have hated them for nearly 20 years now.

Other bands I used to love but just lost interest in:
Sentenced
Amorphis
Tiamat
Entombed

Metallica
Paradise Lost
In Flames

(I still love their old shit)

re Amorphis:
Eclipse is good so I kind of returned to liking (or even loving) them after completely giving up all hope after hearing Elegy.

[edit]
The Gathering !
"Always" was excellent and all other a completely different genre and not my cup of tea.

[edit#2]
Entombed

In Flames, Metallica, Dream Theater, Paradise Lost, Slayer (but i like Christ Illusion), Megadeth (but i like United Abominations), Sepultura, Kreator (but i like Violent Revolution), Children Of Bodon, Dimmu Borgir, Overkill, Venom, Satyricon, Mayhem, Marduk, Lacuna Coil, Sodom...

I love all these bands, but i just like some old albuns from theirs

Iced Earth is the only one I can think that actually fits this criteria the most. I still like the song Colors, so that's the closest I've come from loving a band to completely loathing them.

I still like all the same music since I started first listening to it. Probably because I never got involved with the Nu-Metal/Grunge scene. If I was to name one it would probably be Anthrax, I dont hate them, but ive gone off them, alot.

Avenged Sevenfold
Atreyu
As I Lay Dying
Killswitch Engaged
Slipknot
In Flames

I pretty much outgrew all of these bands once I stopped dressing like a gawth about a year and a half ago, and actually got into some good music.

System of a Down, they were the only nu-metal I ever got into. Thankfully I always hated slipknot, korn and the rest. But I do hate System of a Down now.
