Ride The Lightning all the way!!! A very influential album for me. Right up there with Slayer-Hell Awaits. I still think it's a masterpiece even though when I listen to them now I can't get it out of my mind how much they eat a bag of shit now. :yuk:

Master of Puppets was voted as the third greatest rock/metal album ever in a recent poll. I'm unsurprised, but also I disagree. I agree with your friends that Ride The Lightning is the best although, all four albums on this poll were excellent in my opinion.

Gonna have to hand this one on over to Master of Puppets...Battery, Master of Puppets, Orion..doesn't get much better than that.

I have to give the nodd to Ride. With anthems like "Die By My Hand", and timless classics like "Fight Fire with Fire" and "Fade to Black", I mean, come on!! Not to mention "Trapped Under Ice"-where all the other songs have some underlying meaning, Trapped is actually about a guy trapped under ice!!! Helluva song!!! This is to take nothing away from the other albums-to be honest, Metallica didnt have a single song that I didnt love until Load (of shit)!!! What was the deal with "Mama Said"?? If I wanted to listen to Garth fucking Brooks, I would have bought one of his shitty albums!!!!!
