I've been listening metal for about 10 years now... and never been a Metallica fan... but my best friend is the best biggest Metallica fan i know so he kind of get me used to some songs now... and after 2-3 years i finally found a Metallica album that i can dig entirely and this album is "Ride the lightning", in my opinion much better than "Master Of Puppet" and every other Metallica album...
Only song i dont like that much are "Trapped under ice" and "Escape" even if they arent bad ...

And the fact is that i got that album last week...my first Metallica album... ;) And i enjoy it! Lets see if it'll take me another 2-3 years to dig another album...

"Napster! Napster! Where´s the money that I´ve been after!"

:D

Well, "Master" is my favourite 80s output of Lica. The other
three are all pretty good, even if I haven´t listened to
"Kill" and "Ride" for a long time. "Justice" was that record
that told me like "Check out more metal!" :)

With out a doubt, And Justice for ALL. The songwriting is top notch, and the production is brilliant, I know theres almost no bass, but that gives it such a raw feel, which fits in perfictly with the lyrics. "To Live is to Die" is one of the best instrumentals I've ever heard, "One" is the best Metalica ballid, "Blackend" and "Dyers Eve" are just jaw crushingly brilliant. MoP and RtL are both great too, but not quite to the level of brilliance, that AJFA is at.

With great songwritng, lyrics, guitar playing, creative ideas, thrashing chops, blazing melodiic leads, aggression, and rebelliousness. MASTER OF PUPPETS delivers the goods, the whole package. KEA& RTL are good companion pieces, AJFA was a good farewell album to the Metallica that kicked ass.
