Honestly, I'm surprised that there are so many people on here who prefer the newer stuff to the early stuff. I personally don't really like the newer stuff at all. But DoDS and BMD are excellent.

Katatonia really nailed the production and guitar sound on The Great Cold Distance and the style is new for the band. I'm really interested in hearing what katatonia,amorphis, and paradise lost are going to do over the next years and these bands have been around for so long and are fresh musically and just have great style and playing.

As far as I'm concerned, Katatonia found their sound on TGCD. They need to stick with that
