This is my first time posting here but i have been a reader for a few years, Dark Tranquillity is my all time favorite band so i thought i should post for once.
I have hundreds of melodeath bands so i am not making a big giant list because it would take forever so i will just name my favorite 20 or so. It is by far my favorite genre so any band on it are all in top 10 all bands contention.
My favorite melodeath bands are: (some order, DT is first for sure)

The Haunted (im a huge fanboy lol)
I dont know if Edge of sanity counts as melodeath but if they do they are wayyy high on my list, with Crimson being my alltime favorite album. Dan Swano is GOD!

Depresy - The Grand Magnificence is an awesome melodeath album. It has lower growls but the playing is sweepingly gorgeous
