Ok, if you have tickets to see them, do yourself a favour, either sell your tickets or show up COMPLETELY drunk. Because other than that you won't be able to enjoy yourself, trust me.
First off, the opening band, 'Seemless', was the worst fucking band I've ever seen live. They weren't even metal. They were like a jazz/blues hard rock band it was so fucking boring, I don't even know wtf they were doing there. The crowd was DEAD. No one was moving, it was just like 1000 people standing there, bored. Maybe five people were bopping their heads, that was it.
Secondly, the next band, 'The Sword', they were ok, but nothing special, hell, saying they were nothing special is a bit of a stretch, they may not even deserve that comment. They were just boring as hell, but at least the music was a bit better, and people were moshing, so I think it was the best part of the concert for me, cuz I was moshing and fucking just smashing people from outside the pit. Punched a few people in the face as they came at me after I got kicked in the shin, that pissed me off so like everyone avoided the back wall of the pit after a bit cause I was standing there
. But yeh, just throwing people around was the hilight of my night which is SAD.
Lacuna Coil... OMFG, WORST BAND EVER... I take back what I said about Seemless, wtf.. for Lacuna you couldnt even hear the guy singing... his mic was too low, and Scabbedlabia sucked, and wtf, the guy stops the song and is like "Now everyone I know there's a lot of energy here but please don't push the people at the front and crush them, we gotta look out for eachother and be safe and let's all have a good time" I was like WTF!!?? How ghey are you? I yelled "SHUT THE FUCK UPP!!!" and people around me laughed... I was heckling them soo bad.. every silence there was, I was like "IN FLLAAAAAMEES" or when they said something I was like "WE DONT GIVE A FUCK", OR "FUCK YOUUUU" or "YOU SUUUUCK" that kept me going during their shit performance... no moshing though, just a bunch of emokids jumping up and down
Some guy punched my girlfriend in the back for some reason so I fucked elbowed him SO HARD in the ribs and he didn't do shit. God people are pussies.
And ok, so now it's In Flames, I'm so excited... and well, they come on, open with Pinball Map, a great song, crowd goes nuts, but something doesn't seem right. After the next song, Anders says he just ate oysters for the second time in his life before the show and he feels sicks so he might run off stage and puke at any time. So he didn't sound that great, like wtf... it's yer job, why would you do stuff like that before you work that can jeopardize your performance, but whatever... he was pretty funny though
Their setlist was pretty crap, I mean, it was ok but I expected more from In Flames, epsecially since the night was so fucking boring and lame so far I was hoping they'd make things better, but no. Only for the weak was ok, eventhough he ruined the vocals, I guess cuz he was sick. Come Clarity was ok too, same with The Quiet Place. Those were pretty much the only worthwhile songs.
After take this life, my girlfriend and I just left. We'd had enough and needless to say, that was THE WORST show we've ever seen. And we go to a lot of concerts, but never one which SUCKED so much
Aw well, double dose of Bodom for us in a few days so hopefully that will make it all better.
Sorry for making a thread about this but I think it's only fair to warn people. Sell your tickets I'm not joking, or get really drunk. I don't drink at concerts so, that wasn't an option for me. Just do yourself a favour and prepare for a shit show
