Nagelfar
Niden - Impergium
Nazxul Totem
Sorhin
Vermeth
Hegemon
Seth (Fra)
Ad Hominem
Algor
Avzhia
Choronzon (sounds like it could be either gay or really interesting. who's heard it?)
Countess (where to start?)
Dark Tribe
Epheles
Galgeras
Griffar
Hail
Maniac Butcher
Myrddraal
Necromantia
Root
Thallium
Throne of Ahaz
Varathron His Majesty at the Swamp
Wyrd
Yamatu (music any good? image seems pretentious)
Old Wainds
Amduscias (JPN)
Hyadningar
Nox Intempesta
Nocte Obducta
Ildjarn (which is his best?)
Sort Vokter
Bloodaxe
Aes Dana
Ancalagon
Thyrane (first one any good?)
Ragnarok (Nor)
Havohej
Camulos
Naer Mataron
Nagelfar (i have Srrontgorth, which is decent but too much electronics)
Countess (awesome, Necuratul will tell you where to start)
Dark Tribe (weird, )
Necromantia
Root (i've only heard their non-black metal stuff, but Kargeras and The Book were damn good)
Varathron His Majesty at the Swamp (great album with a different atmosphere than your average bm)
Wyrd (inconsistent, kind of crap at times)
Ildjarn (i liked Forest Poetry, Strength & Anger and whichever ones were non metal)
Sort Vokter ("Folkloric Necro Metal" )
Aes Dana (i sold this shit to someone on RC!)[/quote]
Dark Tribe
Amazing. I once saw In Jeraspunta described as crazed and schizophrenic and I think that's fairly apt. One of my favorite albums.
Griffar
Good pagan BM. Nothing great.
Varathron – His Majesty at the Swamp
I really suggest just getting the version of this that includes Walpurgisnacht and The Lament Of Gods. Cheap and you won't regret it.
Wyrd
I actually like a lot of Wyrd though they've cooled off a bit for me.
Old Wainds
I think I have an album by these guys but have only heard it a couple times. I think I remember it being quite competent. I need to go give it another listen.
Aes Dana
Good pagan/folk BM. Pick it up if you like stuff like Velimor, Kroda, etc.
Ancalagon
You know, I was listening to First Age : Entering Legenda the other day and for the life of me I couldn't remember what I found so enchanting about this band at first listen. Still good, sure, but...meh.
