Black Metal Recommendations-Beyond the Obvious

Nyktalgia's music will have you tapping your foot on the bath tub faucet as you pull the hair dryer in behind you to act as a makeshift microphone for your final lull. For those of you who purchased the Tormenting Legends II disc, you know what I'm talking about. For the rest of you, go straight to the source of anguish and pick up their full length. I'm particularly a fan of the drumming on Exitus Letalis. :kickass:

Any good BM bands that play a sort of depressive ambient/atmospheric style, a la the most recent Lunar Aurora album, that I should know about (beyond the obvious of course)?

Vinterriket
Forest Silence (Not really depressive)
Procer Veneficus (more ambient than black metal on some realeases, and other are just pure ambient)
Paysage d'Hiver
Darkspace (I'm pretty sure you've bought this)

I quite like a lot of black metal/ambient stuff

Tagging these releases so I can say I was first

Inarborat - Inarborat [2008]
Interitus - Der traum von menschenleerer schönheit [2007]
Gris - Il etait une foret [2007]

Straight to the source? I'm still finding it impossible to locate this CD.

Gris - Il etait une foret

I guess i'm second then :loco: Some high quality stuff here. I saw a review of it over at lunar hypnosis, didn't know anyone had mentioned it here. Depressive bm with tons of melody and awesome vocals. The piano track at the end is good as well :Shedevil:
