Black Metal.

This Well of Night EP is pretty good. Recommended for people who like black metal more than they like ambient music pretending to be black metal.

Eh, the in-crowd queen. How can you say they're not black metal? :tickled: Have u ever listened to them at least more than once?

I own three of their albums that I bought over a decade ago. They're quite boring and Kvarforth's rock star attitude is obnoxious.

Which ones? Mind you that he's really sick in the head. Eerie Cold, Halmstad, and X are all great albums. The new one is also very good, but I can see why people are not really fond of it.

Cincinnati based riff-heavy black metal with complex song structure. They’ve been inactive for a year but currently have a sophomore album in the works. I’ll be seeing their return to the stage tonight and will share my thoughts shortly.

It looks like Dagon of Inquisition got in trouble in 2007-2008 because he was downloading pornography. The police tried to claim that they had irrefutable proof that he was downloading and sharing child pornography online, and that they had recovered child pornography from his computer. They ultimately wound up offering him a plea deal for a misdemeanor because he was illegally downloading and watching porn. In Washington state where he lived at the time, child pornography comes with a sentence of five to twenty years. I'm pretty sure that they'd have pursued that more aggressively if they had the evidence that they claimed to have.

In short, is Dagon a pedophile? Who knows? MetalSucks doesn't have my confidence as far as unbiased reporting, so I'll reserve my final opinion for when more detail about the case comes to light. Season of Mist dropped the band immediately when the story broke. If he did actually do what they claim and they had the evidence that they claim to have had, why did they left him walk on a misdemeanor after time served?

New Drudkh is decent. I still compare everything of theirs to Autumn Aurora and Blood In Our Wells, which is admittedly not fair.

This Trna album is good! I typically get turned off by the excessively "ethereal" toned, shoegazy atmoblack, but this one is well done.

It's very interesting. I was really surprised by the news. However, it won't be the same band anymore to me in regard to the situation. He's a sick fuck and should be punished for his deeds.

Very sad news regarding Inquisition. Regardless of what actually went on, I will still buy their music if they continue to release albums but I'm not sure if I'll feel comfortable wearing their merchandise from here on out.

Eh, it's not like he and I were friends or anything so I'm not sure I particularly care. Their first five are pretty good (havent heard or cant remember the other two) and I still listen to them occasionally.

I do feel like he's probably the victim of a witch hunt, to a point... this happened what, ten years ago? Did he actually hurt someone? More likely he was just on a big label and told the wrong person to Crush the Jewish Prophet.

In the end, it looks like it was sensationalized. His statement that they claimed falsely that he had child pornography due to the young appearance of some of the models and then reduced the charges because there was literally no evidence lines up with the plea deal that was offered. He posted on Facebook that he was basically addicted to pornography during that era, and the end result was that he had to go to therapy and he walked after time served on charges related to hosting and viewing pornography.

There's no way that a prosecutor would let someone who was in possession of dozens of images of underage women performing sex acts (and sharing them publicly, which is considered trafficking) walk on time served. Prosecuting such a case would be an easy win even with weak evidence, and they'd be able to use it for bonus points because he's in a Satanic band. In the end, it probably won't matter because MetalSucks successfully ruined his career, which they've been trying to do for years because of racist statements that he made online.

While we're discussing pedophiles in black metal, I wonder when confirmed pedophile Mikko Aspa will see his reckoning. It would probably have already happened if Deathspell Omega was a band that played live.

Where do you have this info from?

I have this info because he is a known purveyor of "underground" pornography and he has made music inspired by his own fetishes and love of pedophilia. It's not even a secret.
