Best BM I've heard so far this year.

Listened to the first two tracks and I can't get beyond the production right away.

On recent black metal though I quite enjoyed the new Ebony Pendant EP which was unexpected, didn't think much of their other stuff. Also the new Maquahuitl EP rules and that Les Chants de Nihil album wainds shilled was cool based on a single listen. So far Little Turtle's War by Pan-Amerikan Native Front is my favourite 2021 black metal release but I can guarantee when the new Panopticon album is out that will take its place.

Man the production is the best bit. Fucking frigid and crypt like but all the instruments still come through. I can happily get lost in it.

Haha nice. I'm a brewer - not quite sure how you'd go about making that but I'm sure someone will try it eventually.

Awesome. I'm a barista by trade so coffee is my gig, but I've always been interested in good beer. Anyway, I initially thought it might be some kind of barrel aged imperial (due to the lack of head) ... but I guess could be a lot of things...?!

Going to check the album out at some point.

Well a saison is, by definition, a style that focuses on yeast esters rather than malt profiles, so "saison noire" would be a contradiction in terms. Then again, "black ipa" and "white stout" now exist so the rule book is basically out the window.

Of course, Spectral Wound is Quebecois, so more likely they're just talking about a 'black season' with nothing to do with beer!
