Black Metal.

German melodic black/death from this year, pretty good album so far

Lesser-known Swedish black metal, really raw and something about the drum sound just hits.

This is really intense, I love the drums. Relentless, pummeling, cold black metal fury. ^

Polish black/death

@Slayed Necros @WorldObliteration33 do either of you have any recs for filthy, riffy black metal with lots of midtempo/slower sections?? Like the Greek/Slavic stuff, Mystifier, etc. Black/death and black/doom are fine, even black/thrash. I just like black metal that I can headbang to, especially if it has like eerie Occult vibes. I know all the big names.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for but I like this early 2010s Crepusculo Negro stuff quite a bit.

Ty, this is a bit more orthodox (in the vein of Scandinavian second wave stuff) than what I was specifically looking for, but it's a nice surprise and I love it. I like a lot of stuff that gets labeled as first wave too, a distinction I think is silly, but yea. I'm gonna listen to this album after I finish Rotting Christ-Non Serviam.
