So V5, I did like you and downloaded the Naxzul album, but unlike you, I can't see myself buying. It's not very good, perhaps bordering on bad. The atmosphere and ambience is great, but the music is just so riffless. Obviously keyboard driven music but even the keys don't do much other than sustain one chord per bar most of the time.

The new Naxzul has some great moments, but overall I prefer their other stuff and I'm enjoying new Pestilential Shadows alot more. Maybe I need to let Iconoclast sink in a little bit more...

uhh sort of. not nearly as ambient or "space-y", but really awesome stuff nonetheless...you should look into Paysage if you're a fan of Darkspace

But not necessarily the other way around. I'm not a big aficionado of Darkspace, tbh...pretty boring and featureless. Paysage is way more harsh and in-your-face sounding, and I love Wintherr's insanely inventive use of violins and keyboard flourishes in the context of blasting wintry ferocious black metal. Fucking great stuff.
