Care to explain what it is that you "HATE" about Opeth? I can fully understand not appreciating their music, their style, etc. But why "hate" in big capital letters? What about their music makes you feel that strongly about them?Arch said:
Surely they're a band, while not as original as some of their fans like to think, that has their own voice. Their lyrics are mature and intelligent. Their music is well played and well crafted, even if it may not appeal to you personally. Mikael's harsh vocals are unique and offer a clarity that few can match. His clean vocals are very well executed, and demonstrate (through their improvement) the effort he puts into his music. The band pulls off eveything they do in studio, in a live environemt, as they are superb musicians. Truly there can be no claims that they sold out. Afterall, who sells out with an average song length of more than 8 minutes (not exactly radio or MTV friendly).
So, why do you "HATE" them?

BWP has "Bleak" which is a fantastic ROCK song. It also has crap like Leper Affinity and Dirge For November.
Deliverance has the title track and pretty much nothing else of note.
