I understand.... but my point is that I can imagine that theres gonna be tons of people who vote on this, and interpreting the poll as "Brutal Death or In Flames".

Good point. Pointless info: I remember listening to Ablaze My Sorrow's "Anger, Hate and Fury" for the first time - I loved it. I then listened to it the next couple of days, and found that I had already grown tired of the extremely catchy melodies. It's the only melodeath band I've actually enjoyed, though - if only for a short time. I still listen to some of their songs occasionally, but brutal death is so much better.

Brutal death. A lot of my favorite bands are brutal death, such as Nile, Suffocation, and Decapitated. But when I'm feeling especially depressed, I'll listen to some Dark Tranquility, old In Flames, or At The Gates. It really depends on my mood, but I'm into more brutal death bands than melodic death bands.

It depends on my mood. I've been getting more and more into Brutal Death recently, but it really depends on my mood. Like right now I'm listening to the new Edge of Sanity, but before I was listening to Vital Remains. I have no favorite, it's just whatever I'm in the mood for at the time, as it is with many people.

I feel there are a lot of bad bands in both genres; overall I've gone with melodic death because of early Dark Tranquillity, At the Gates (specifically Terminal Spirit Disease) and Eucharist.

Angrafan I think you should keep that to yourself, cause you might get flamed really bad.

Except for the SYL part
