In german is this word "Kitschig". I think its equal to "kitschy"
KISS is kitschy, or not?

new iron maiden pretty devoid of cheese though if you ever listen to any of it.
i thought that dance of death had some pretty classy tracks on it which keeps the band from looking like an entity trying to recapture former glory. Iron maiden still has lots to offer in my opinion. Judas priest cheese still tastes the best though.:headbang:

I think you have misunderstood me. I don't dislike Maiden - in fact, I own their entire discography (original CDS, most of the early stuff on vinyll and tape too).

Cheesy can be good - after all, having fun counts for a lot. When I'm drunk, I don't want to hear some multi-layered polyrhythmic jazz-metal po-faced bent-ness. I want to hear about Satan, war, sluts, beer, satan and beer:kickass:

wait...how can you take cradle of filth over dimmu borgir?

in terms of cheesiness, Cradle is way more cheesy than DB

Dimmu Borgir is ten times more cheesy than cof.

cof's while being cheesy does not sound like a movie soundtrack.

i think that if they cut back the orchestrations to just the keyboards again and went back to the old style atmosphere of the first three albums that i'd enjoy them more. oh yeah, and let simen sing more. i've never seen a band use a talented member more poorly.
