Yeah, I've looked up some vids where people were using Toneport and some of the clips sounded actually very good imo.

RL is good. I fixed the neck diving problem and the balance is now pretty much perfect when playing standing up. I have two clips of me playing it on facebook. Nothing special, No More Tears solo by Ozzy and some doodling around clip I did when I got the guitar. (webcam quality both though. )

Seriously, I liked it a lot. Great musicality and nice production on every song. This is definitely the best I've heard since the beginning of the COBOT albums.

Well, if you aren't really short on money I say get the UX2. Yes, the volume thing can be done too with the computer, but it's extremely handy to have it implemented there. Plus is ncie to have the extra features in case you neeed them. I have even used it to play two guitars at the same time, you can't do that with UX1 afik

The sound is the same, so is the software. Ux2 got two xlr and two line inputs but you only need one, unless you're going to mic your amp with 2 mics.
You don't need phantom power, using a condensor microphone with a low budget interface like this doesn't make sense.

I don't really know what other things you can do more with ux2 but it isn't worth it.

So don't buy ux2 unless you're going to record something with 2 mics.

Actually...you can stereo mic something and have a separate headphone volume knob. Otherwise I dunno. If you want to start being a studio geek and mic everything the proper way you should just get some proper interfaces or be cheap and the the UX-8 which btw looks pretty killer aswell.

Yes, what I said about 2 mics.. A seperate headphone volume knob seems useless to me too, you can decrease output volume almost anywhere in the chain.

It depends, It's only there for the lazy. Well Not just 2 mics...IF you like want to plug it to a mixer or similar. That could be interesting! Not saying this is stuff I need though, I only have the UX1 and im happy with it

And I use a condenser microphone to record, I've taped drums, violon, cello and vocals with it and they all sounded really great.

Well that's purely opinion. Fact is when you use a mixer to record you get 2 channels (left and right), instead of a channel per mic used, limiting your options for mixing.
