Concerts - 2007

Yeah they probably will ;)

Around end of march for Montreal, check the tour dates :) Gojira are SO good, and LoG too ! Can't wait, this will be a great concert !:headbang:

Trivium (not my fav), Machine Head (wooo, nu-metal...j/k thier newest is pretty good), Gojira, and Lamb of God are coming to Atlantic City (close to me, in NJ) at the House of Blues in March. I'm def. going, it looks to be a great show. I just hope DT plays in the northeast. No more western PA shows : ( .

So far it's only Draconian....but I'm pretty sure that I'm going to more concerts this year...they just haven't been booked yet

mastodon is a fucking great band! great drummer, great songs...!

I'd love to see them again as when they opened for tool their setup was just so bad.. they even played 2 songs with no lights and the crew had to point flashlights on guitars and drumkit..

I want a shitstorm: Tool shouldn't have existed in first place, because as of now it's overated-ness can compete with only how lame their music is.

EDIT: the only cool thing about them is packaging of their records.

I used to say that too.. but it's one of the most technical bands on earth :headbang:

Technicality not necessarily makes music good, and I couldn't find any good tunes in 10,000 even with those attached goggles.

LOL!

About Tool: I remember I liked "Schism" and a few other songs my friends made me listen to a few years back when they discovered them, but I never cared to listen to Tool on my own. I may try them out just to have some sort of opinion :)

10,000 days, Wings (pt 1 and 2) are amazing songs.. Tool is not the kind of band u listen to once and u headbang for it then forget it.. Tool takes time to be digested, to be learned, to be understood, to be remembered, to be loved..

I swear I was just like u. but one day I forced myself listening to Tool carefully lots of times and I discovered how wonderful their music is, not considering technicality but just catchiness..

try also listening carefully to lyrics, try discovering underlying mathematic formulas in the disposition of syllables, or the hidden meanings in most of their songs, or even morse-based bass riffs..

tool is not a band, it's just more like a book

The Pot, Right In Two, Vicarious, Jambi, 10,000 Days (the last one also amazing live). Those are the songs that do it for me.

And btw, i like Tool.

edit: @Nt3N: i like the lyrics, but didn't know about the rest. how did you find out, is there a site that analyzes this or something?

Nevermind my earlier post, I was in one of my sarcastic moods (and sarcasm is boring, except when it's fun), if it can be called a mood instead of a constant. Or maybe it's just that plintus posted an approving reply.
Anyway. All that stuff, I suppose it's cool for ones who bother finding out about it all. Pretentious from the band, but whatever, it's like complaining a band sucks because they're cheesy.

But really, trying to get someone into a band the person has already stated disliking by telling them to find secret patterns is just...probably not going to work.
