Planet Earth Here !!!
...So all of you guys are from different places and can recomend us some bands hailing from where you are. I'm from MEXICO and there are not really good metal bands around here...just of course :headbang: BRUJERIA !!!!! even if they are from different countries (ex. Shane Embury and Nicholas Barker from England and there are U.S. citizens in the band as well) The singer and the guitar player (who use to play guitars for FEAR FACTORY) are from MEXICO and the band stands as a MEXICAN one...:Smokin:

You people from those famous metal countries (ex. SWEDEN and even the US) can recomend us more underground (or maybe non-metal) bands or something...:loco:

I checked through my CD collection for swedish bands and this is what I found:

Arch Enemy
Bathory
Candlemass
Cemetary
Dan Swanö
Edge of Sanity
Entombed
Euskefeurat
The Haunted
Hypocrisy
Imperiet
In Flames
Katatonia
Lake of Tears
Memento Mori
Nightingale
October Tide
Opeth
Pain
Sorcerer
Sundown
Therion
Tiamat
Tom Nouga
Unanimated
Vadå

I hope I didn't forget anything. Some of the bands are not active anymore, and with some of the bands I only like the early stuff. But I guess the list will give you some new things to check out.

They're all worth checking out in my opinion, but if you don't know swedish, the bands Euskeferat and Imperiet might be difficult to get into, since their real strength is in the lyrics (and they both sing in swedish). If you want any more detailed info on any of the bands, let me know.

Hahahaha and for American bands, you're right TUMN most of them suck, but there are really good bands too.

SLAYER and DEATH are the best ones for my taste

Good list, Dhalaren, but Ion Dissonance is hardly brutal death. Just very intense mathcore with a solid metallic edge. Great band though, I've listened to their Solace CD a good hundred of times I think.

I guess I'll try with some American bands:
Twilight
Agalloch
Krohm
___
And some bands that are on the line:
Nevermore
Velvet Cacoon
Zombi

Yeh THE CHASM are pretty famous but i don't like them too much, the guys are great persons, i use to play in a band and we were playing in the same places...
oooooooh good all days .............

I haven't really listened to Ion Dissonance, I just heard one song on a compilation album I have. It's a song called, 1001010001010. Of course I can't remember the order of the numbers:D

I'm about to leave to go pick up some LPs from a guy from eBay and do some other stuff.. so here's a link to keep you happy in the mean time. I will post some websites when I get back. This is a free downloadable compilation (with print-ready art) with 11 Aussie bands, many of them in my list.. it's a bit of a mix in terms of styles (Death, Modern Thrash, Black, Prog).. A lot of the bands I listed I wanted to include but couldn't get in contact with - most of them some of our best Death and Thrash bands (some are now disbanded too)..so maybe next time.
