TSOP is good. I remember someone on the Megadeth boards calling that 'The Sound of Self-Indulgence'. I still laugh at that considering it's somewhat true, but it's still my second favorite Death record.

Has anyone here heard of Purtenance, Beyond Fatal, Apocalyptic Visions, or Typhoid?

Purtenance is great OS finndeath. I am just checking out the rest and since 2/3 of them are brutal death, I probably won't like them. I am just listening to Apocalyptic Visions right now and the sound like competent DM but nothing that is really sticking out yet (granted I haven't even finished one song yet).
