edit - eh, maybe not upon more listens. What genre then? Some sort of industrial/extreme hybrid. Either way it's awesome.

have you heard these guys? this is a debut record (hard to believe because it's quite mature sounding) and it is very impressive...

Maybe it is. I don't listen to a lot of tech death so it's a fresh sound for me. I haven't really liked a lot of the tech death I've heard in the past for some reason. But this is good.

I'm very persistent. That tech death track lacked any substance whatsoever, the vocals were, well, bad. Basically what I expect from modern technical death metal. When I listen to death metal the most important thing is to have headbangable riffs, I was stationary the entire duration of the song. I mean sure, it sounds kinda cool but after a while that same sound just gets boring.

What other threads am I littering with generic death metal? I can't even remember the last time I posted a DM album in the NP thread. I'm moving to generic rock, because I'm a generic fruitloop.

I wouldn't call that particularly brutal death metal. It reminds me of Incantation and Behemoth.

Anyone heard the new album by Dephosphorus? Not entirely death metal, but it doesn't really conform to any one genre so I'm posting here. Anyways, it's good.
