I would consider a lot of bands to be Deathened Black Metal, because they're more black metal than death metal, but to just call them Black Metal or Blackened Death Metal is easier on the tongue.

If you're referring to Psychostasia by Adramelech, that is a phenomenal album. One of the top ten death metal albums of all time, IMO.

Agreed. Took me a while to get into it too, but it's an awesome album. I got Conjuration of the Spectral Empire by The Chasm yesterday and have only listened to it twice, but it seems brilliant so far.

Speaking of blackened death metal, this band is surprisingly good (especially for what the members look like).
