i'd like it fast and high-energy but with groovy and interesting riffage

... outside of a little groove a few of those bands incorporate, most of them sound nothing like Abysmal Dawn ... especially Origin and Odious Mortem. Most of those are straight up tech-death bands ... which AD is not.

Revocation would be the closest from the bands you mentioned. Never really listened to Fallujah or Bloodshot Dawn.

edit: Check out The Crown, i remember them sounding somewhat similar to AD.

Finally checking this out after all these years. One of the better Swedeath records I've heard.

First 3 Grave cds are great. First 4 Unleashed and older Entombed is my favorite old school Swedish stuff. And ofcourse Edge of Sanity-unorthodox. Dismember(first 3).

Other good stuff.

Oh and only a total shitstain wouldn't mention Repugnant's Epitome of Darkness...
