^My favorite Obituary album

Dak was right. Best Immolation album I've heard after Dawn of Possession.

The best Immolation album is Close to a World Below, Unholy Cult and Harnessing Ruin combined into one superalbum.

Any opinions on the new Nile album? Especially curious what Krig thinks. Worth purchasing?

Here in After
Unholy Cult
Close to a World Below
Dawn of Possession
Failures for Gods
Shadows in the Light
Harnessing Ruin

...in that order. I haven't spent enough time with the last two to give a fair ranking but I remember both sounding like scrapped songs from their mid-era albums.

The law of diminishing marginal utility could beg to differ.

As much as I'd like to go on a 15 page debate full of meaningless words and pretty language that would eventually devolve into a conversation on gender and/or womyns rights as is customary on ultimate metal, I'll say I respectfully disagree.

Speaking of great releases guys.
an israeli band Ma'anish just released their 2nd album.
ITS F-ING AMAZING!.

Anyone listen to Pissgrave's full length? The name and album cover scream goregrind but it's really some of the most disgusting death metal I've heard released in a very long time.

Pleasantly surprised when I heard this a while back. I'll be ordering the album and shirt as soon as I get a little more cash, but I adored the handful of songs I heard. Unbelievably ugly music.

So I see Sinister's newer albums have decent ratings. Recently picked up The Carnage Ending, The Silent Howling, and The Post Apocalyptic Servant. If they're no good, I'm out $15 I guess.

Yeah, it's damn good.
I love the songs and guitars. But holy fuck, turn the drums up! It's the most frustrating thing about Nile for the past 10 years.
I listen to BSOV and ITDS and I jizz when hearing the drums. So in your face and badass!
Ever since George joined the band I've disliked the drum sound. It's quiet, there's no punch. I have to focus to hear drum rolls. Stupid
