So I see Sinister's newer albums have decent ratings. Recently picked up The Carnage Ending, The Silent Howling, and The Post Apocalyptic Servant. If they're no good, I'm out $15 I guess.

They are solid. Not the best you've ever heard but worth a purchase. Silent howling is probably my favorite of the recent Sinister albums.

So what's the remastered version of Molested's Blod-Draum like? I haven't listened to the original in a long time. Any opinions on the original vs remastered?

How much of a thing is atmospheric death metal? Of the DM I enjoy it definitely has an atmospheric tinge compared to most (Portal, Nile, Sulphur Aeon, Dead Congregation) Is there a good list or sub-genre of shit like this or is it just more of a quality of certain bands?

Ignivomous, Denouncement Pyre and Encoffination are Death Metal bands I guess I would call atmospheric.

Check out Ulcerate if you liked the new Gorguts .... and maybe some Deathspell Omega. There isnt much out there that can be compared to Obscura though ... that album is a best all of its own.
