did anybody ever get into Elvenking?

Their debut album is half-decent, but I never really followed their career (meaning I haven't heard anything since). Also, didn't Martin Walkyier write some songs for one of their releases?

The other reason for this thread is this artwork. There's something cool about this, like there's a good story waiting to be told:

I never thought they were that great and The Scythe was just bad.

'Heathenreel' is brilliant. The going-off-the-rails energy and chaotic songwriting make it a work of unintentional genius.

The next ones ('Wyrd' and 'The Winter Wake') are good enough, but they don't capture the magic of 'Heathenreel'.

'The Scythe' is pretty much junk. Totally pedestrian melodic chunk songwriting, where almost all folk elements have been excised.

yep, Heathenreel is awesome. thats about it. Scythe is pure shit. what I heard wasnt even metal.
