This is the one song off r2r that I think shows they still have it in them. The chorus is cheesy as hell but I have to admit its damn catchy.. but that clean part before the solo.. and the actual solo.. wow, goosebumps..

I actually started to enjoy R2R a lot and Dismiss the Cynic is one of my fav song despite its rudeness towards the legendary band Cynic.

excellent song, love that little lead in near the beginning, its just as good and melodic as anything else they've done before. like I said before, the old IF is still all over the place on the album, theres just a lot of new stuff too and people just don't care to notice it.
Yeah there's still some leads on the album that remind me of the good ol' days.. like the one in this song

I agree, there is much old In Flames style to be found but their newer stuff overtakes it. Songs like Dark Signs and Dismiss The Cynics are just like old IF, I personally think they're two of the best on the album.

Dismiss the Cynics was the first songt from RTR i listened to a lot, but I agree the Chorus is horrible.
