Second of all I am not a metalhead, sorry.

Third, I *am* a nerd (though I don't like D&D at all). Like genocide roach I have a nerdy job, nerdy hobbies (I count listening to music as a hobby, that says enough) and a nerdy social life. Got a problem with that? I actually prefer the term geek though.

One of my friends does the usual things, and in some ways he is right (I mean there is a Dying Fetus song called Kill Your Mother Rape Your Dog), but I know that I like it a lot and it is better for me than his music.

Plus I make fun of him for only listening to poprock so it all works out in the end.

i one of the few that listen to what i listen to in all of plymouth. most of my friends listen to punk, hardcore (those are the respectable ones, they dont just listen to the mainstream crap) but then, there are my mallcore friends that listen to the mainstream metalcore and slipknot, etc. if they werent so cool, i would probably hate then. but i do have a friend who is an enourmous maiden buff, hes good.

Yeah, I have people at work who do that to me too since I randomly do a death metal growl while I'm at work. I wrote lyrics for a song in typical Cannibal Corpse style, not really being serious, and people get uptight about it, yet they want to hear me growl the lyrics when I don't remember half of them because I wrote the song in 30 seconds 6 months ago. It's safe to say that if you don't know the meaning of a word in the title, then they probably wouldn't appreciate it.

Does it really matter what your friends say about music you listen to? I could care less about my friend's opinion about my music tastes. All my friends listen to some cheap techno crap, but they still are my friends. If certain dude annoys you with flaming - just shoot him.

I played Fuel from metallica to my dads friends daughter, she was like, I dont like this song, I put on shoulder lean, Shes like I LOVE THIS SONG. The 5 people that do like metal around here are my friends. So im happy.
