Does Linkinpark, creed, Korn & disturbed count as metal?(ugh)
She doesn't listen to them seriously or anything, just the odd song every now and then.

what? Are you saying it's dorky to like girls? Or only total dorks don't know anything about girls?

I would guess he meant the latter (rather obviously).

Yeah, many a time when I've heard some girl mention a metal band in front of other girls and they respond 'OMgZ I hate them my ex liked them and he was fucking socially retarded!!12'

I don't think we're on the top 100 eligible list tbh dudes. Oh well there's always porn.

I single now (please note that splatterday night fever ;)) but my ex listened to metal. Alot of thrash, black and death metal.

:)

The boyfriend and I are both metal dorks. I've also dated plenty of fellas who weren't into metal. One in particular used to make fun of my music constantly which kind of pissed me off. I don't think it's very important to find someone with similar tastes in music just as long as the respect for each others interests is there.

:( You're taken... Lets be UM dating (I promise I wont tell your boyfriend;)).

j/k

But yeah, thats very true but if one part cannot accept the other musical interests problems can arise.

My friend just split up with his girlfriend and she wasnt much into music at all except at parties and in clubs. From what I know she was actually annoyed when music was being played in their home. She'd rather start the tv and let it go in the background. This lead to my friend not listening to music as much as he would like to.

I couldnt stand a girlfriend who would complain about my taste in music. Its about respect on both parts. I think its easier if two people like the same kind of music but its not as important so that a relationship stands and falls with it if respect is involved of course.

That's how it became between myself and the guy I mentioned. I got so annoyed with him poking fun at my music that I just stopped listening to it in the house all together. It was a pretty miserable time, to say the least.

Yeah one shouldnt give on to such things one will just feel miserable. Its kind of like the saying that if she wants to change me then why did she want to be with me in the first place? Sure, there may be destructive personality traits like aggression or drug abuse or whatever but when it comes to interests one shouldnt increase to much on a partner.

My wife likes the classic metal like maiden and priest. She doesn't like death or black metal. Although she tagged along with me last night when i watched Monstrosity at Zanies Too lol but she knows the ppl that work there.
