Doom Metal

I agree with you. I don't want to start a flame war or anything. But I find Reverend Bizarre boring. But do know I only seem play live once. But that concert sucked to hard so I never listened to their CD's

And lets stop calling any type of doom metal gay, there is only 1 gay metal band and that is Dragonforce.

:erk:

Has anybody seen the bonus live footage that comes with the V re-release? It's their first gig with Wino, pretty raw sound, but insanely cool set. "There's Cokes being sold over here."

Hmm no I haven't, I've got the album though (I think it is that version atleast, can't check now). I always miss those things. Speaking of Wino, am I the only one who thinks he is the worst Vitus singer?

I'm not a HUGE Wino fan myself but I respect the fuck out of what he has done for the scene and his unrelenting passion.

Edit - regarding his voice. He is an excellent guitar player and writes some great riffs.

Yeah I respect him too alot, but I can't say I love all things he has contributed to. The Obsessed is easily my favourite. I think he did a better job there then in Vitus (kinda cheating considering he played the guitar too though maybe). BTW, I'm not saying that he sucked in Vitus, just that he was the least good. :> Scott Reagars ftw! :p

I have yet to get around to checking out the Chandler stuff, but perhaps it's true. Anything that Wino did in The Obsessed or Spirit Caravan > his Vitus stuff.

Malasangre - A Bad Trip To... (stoner/sludge doom)
Acid King - III
Ocean Chief - The Oden Sessions and Tor

Those are my favs.
