Doom Project! Sunn o))) inspired!

I say this really has to be about improvisation. Mucky, tune low and record some uber heavy drone guitars, I don´t know drift away for 6 minutes or something, then everyone else will be adding up to it part by part and create a multilayer drone masterpiece. Is this idea good with everyone? seems to me like the only way to go

Probably the best way to go,
but it would also be nice to have some songs a bit more "structured" kinda like Khanate.

Im gonna start generating some Synth parts over the next few days.

Yeah, this is what I was planning on doing. All improvised!

Ok, cool dude. I think that some of the songs could be more structured, but I don't think anything will get written out with guitar pro or shit like that, proper doom should be more improvised :D

exactly,

im just saying that sometimes best improvs are at least vaguely planned ahead in the players mind :)

best example i can think of is Khanate, or the "Black One" album from SunnO))),

a great balance between improv and purpose.

black one sucks
and i seriously think we should ninjam this entire project
say every 2 weeks, band ninjam session

pure improvisation
improv structures itself and gives itself a purpose if you just let go

yeah piss of piece
just need to figure out routing for recording everyones outputs then we're sorted

i dont care what tuning we use, i just wanna zen out for a couple of hours with my sneap forum broz

ok then, it doesn't really matter what tuning as long as everything is in tune :D But i'm keeping mine low because i've got bass strings on my guitar at the moment

I'm gunna string up with a set of 70-70-70-46-46-46 all tuned to E. Because I can

But seriously, I'm tuning uber low.

Joe

also guys

fuck amp sims for this, need proper real feedback
