yeah, the progression idea could be the best way of doing this. It means each member will be able to start their own song in their style, and each other person can add to it, so it should be awesome

Awesome, this project should be nonstop doom, we should mix it up a bit with ambient/jazz style stuff, although I wouldn't mind it all being heavy doom, calmer sections and songs are cool! I'm interested in hearing what you come up with dude.

it'll still be doom, it'll still be massively fucking heavy, but a huge part of playing doomy droney stuff is just relaxation man
listen to earth 2, the first drone doom record, and you'll hear that not only is it fucking heavy, it's pure and calm and relaxing as well

I think it would be best to draw up a sequential order of contribution for each track,
saves us from potential conflicts and different versions of a song wandering off on their own.

obviously, for each song we will contribute in a different sequential order.

I could draw up that order for each track if you'd like?

EDIT: I've put the girlfriend to work figuring out the possible unque configurations of members per song.
she's clever like that

This was drawn up to ensure fairness, each person gets a turn being 1st, 2nd, 3rd and so forth.
the sequences were also formulated to minimize patterns forming in the order of names,

anyway, the person starting each song is the "Song Captain", with Muckypup as the co-ordinator for the entire project.

Get on MSN, and get every member added as a contact,
start writing your songs, keep in contact and stay in sequence.

when you are done with your contribution, you need to send on a rough mix of the song so far (with reasonable levels on the various instruments) as well as bouncing out your own part ready for the final mixdown.
all bounced tracks starting at the same point in time please!!!!!!!!!!

Both Myself and DanLights have already started our songs and uploaded our parts,
next in line, download them and get to work on the next stage, and talk to the Song Captain about the direction of the song.

The feedback is good,
some of the left-side guitars in the beginning are a bit off, they sound kind "Naked" ya know. maybe edit out some of the little bumps and some reverb to smooth it over.

when the whole thing comes in its pretty awesome.

that is a damn fine piece by the way

for your contribution to this project, it may be better to put forward something that is less "complete" than this one, leaving loads of space to add to it.
