well snow2fall and haddsie kinda answered it...but I was thinking about this and maybe it comes down as much to our perceptions as to reality; when we are attached, we WANT to believe that we are still a commodity.

Here's a funny story, I once drunkenly hooked up with someone, and felt bad the next day. Until I found out that she had hooked up with my ex-girlfriend too.

I have more male friends than female friends (which I have only one of). This has lead to some tension, as a few of these guys have confessed they like me more than a friend... and for others, I know it from gossip. Strange and quite the discovery, as these are people who know my worst secrets and my past. I guess everything's not lost.
