Folk Metal anyone?

don't really know what people see in Skyclad. I bought Jonah's Ark and thought it was cringeworthy, cheesy and laughable.

Well i really like their riffs... that is what i see in Skyclad. Like someone already said on this forum: "it's all about the riffs"
As for the greatest folk stuff... i think Windir did it.. with "Arntor".
But it's just my opinion . No offence pls.

I like asmegin. I have not really looked into folk metal. I like how asmegin still has some very metallish elements in their music, even lower vocals. The guitar playing really goes well with the other string instrumentations.

Amorphis 'eclipse' has folk elements scattered around.

yea, I'd consider this band a death/folk metal band. Some of their songs have folk elements in them.

Die Apokalyptischen Reiter are a weird band, mixing death metal, folk, industrial, and just about anything you can think of into one ... odd but great sound.
