Folk Metal anyone?

I read that Thyrfing has a new album in the works. They are definitely one of the superior "Folk" Metal bands of the day. I used to be a more avid fan than I am today, but I just find a lot of bands in this vein to be really cheesy and poorly executed.

Folk metal fucking owns. Easily my favourite genre of metal. Finntroll, Moonsorrow, Månegarm, Turisas, Korpiklaani, Ensiferum, Ásmegin, Otyg, Týr, Аркона...

Havent checked out much as in folk metal but ive listened to Agalloch..i like them. Was listening to The White, really dig the first song the most off that album.
