I'm really excited to see who's the new singer of Norther! But Norther isn't Norther without Petri:(

On another note: I have a soundtest and a following gig today. The universal glue didn't hold the piece on, opened the bag up some minutes ago and it was broken off again. So I took some clear tape and taped that motherfucker:kickass:

Woooo gonna be awesoome:kickass:

Norther is now looking for a new full time singer. We are looking for a versatile, creative individual with high motivation and a preferable capability of singing in different styles. The person we are looking for must be at least 20 years of age and preferably live in Finland. Guitar playing skills are considered as an advantage but not necessary.

If you feel you might be the one, please download the following instrumental version of our song Frozen Angel. Return it to us with your own vocals recorded on top to singer@norther.net in MP3 format. You can download the song here, and the lyrics here. It is also possible to send a free-form audio or video sample of yourself.

We offer the new singer a possibility to rock around the globe in an excellent team and enjoy the full benefits of being in an international heavy metal band.

May the best one win, the search is on!!

All the best,
Norther

Matias show them your singing qualities!

Chris Broderick is a beast of a guitar player.
True. He used to give Webcam lessons when he wasn't in Megadeth yet.

Maybe some people haven't seen this ENGL demonstration of Victor Smolski yet. I suggest that you watch the whole video, there are some amazing licks and tricks.

I made a total "service" of my RR24 today then! This is what i did:

-Switched out the worn out spring adjuster screws to heavy duty torq screws which pwn like fucking shit!!!
-New tuning lock screws!
-Cleaning of fretboard and floyd rose
-Setting it up to E with .10-.46 strings.
-Re-calibrating the action to ultrafuckinglow
-Test playing it and abusing the whammy bar

It plays totally awesome now. Going to be a bitch to have to sell it but I think I've made my decision.

Now I am going to take pics and send to the guys who were interested in buying it!:kickass:

So what's everyone's dream guitar?

Mine is actually probably the ESP EC-I CTM Silverburst, or a custom SV/RV of my own design.

My dream guitar hasn't been built yet, but I got me a quote from Shamray in Russia for a custom guitar with the following specs:

- Sevenstring with 27" Scale length (!)
- Body Shape: RG7 Series by Ibanez
- Neck Shape: Wizard I/II by Ibanez BUT with 27 frets (!). AANJ please.

- Woods body: mahogany + flamed maple top in transblue
- Woods neck: maple all the way, not painted, satin finish

- Trem: Lo-Pro Edge 7 oder OFR 7
- Controls: Volume+Tone

- Pickups: H-H: Tone Zone 7 (bridge) + Air Norton 7 (Neck). ZEBRA Pups.

- Inlays: Black Offset Dots

- Binding: Cream, only on the top edges of the body.

- Mechanics: Gotoh/Schaller/Sperzel, whatever

Would have cost me appr. 1960$ IIRC.
And yes, I know that it's more or less an Ibanez with slight variations, but what should I do? Ibanez featured only 3 models with a 27" scale, and at least 2 of them are out of production and pretty rare.

outside of these there are tonnes of telecasters, strats, SG's, Explorers, Jaguars, and more exotic models that i'd love to get my hands on. Except Les Pauls, i'll give those away for free
