I have failed miserabley at this many times..
Seriously? I dont get why everyone thinks its such a pain to change the strings. The first time I did it, I did it without any instructions and it was pretty straightforward....
1. leave the old strings on, they'll keep the floyd in place when you're putting the new ones on one-by-one.
2. unlock the nut, loosen the first string a bit. you dont need to do it a TON, just enough that it wont snap out and smack you in the face in the next step.
3. loosen the little string holder thingies on the saddle for the string you're changing (i dunno what they are called... but they are the bars that stick out under the floyd and you loosen them with an allen wrench).
4. remove old string. you can clip it at the nut if it helps you get it off easier.
5. take new string, clip off the little ball end just above the windings.
6. insert into saddle, tighten holder thingy.
7. next you can just wrap the string around the machine tuners and tighten it up however you would as if it was a non-floyd guitar.
8. repeat steps 3-8 until you're done changing strings.
9. tune
10. lock nut.
done.
This is all provided you're going from the same string size/tension/tuning etc. Changing that means you need to mess with the springs in the back, which I havent done. When I changed mine I went from 9-42 E tuning to 10-46 D tuning (which is almost exactly the same tension, so I didnt need to mess with the springs)
