Guitar Player's Thread

I think the difference was that the maple version had a cheaper type of floyd than the regular RR24. But I can't seem to find any info about this on jacksonguitars.com
I can just recall someone on this forum say that, don't have any sources.

If I get a custom guitar of any kind, I'm definitely going with this company

Jackson is sucking with the quality of their instruments now days, or atleast compared to how good they once were.

Anyways, so I restrung my RR24 today, and have been practicing all day since I haven't been able to in almost 3 weeks. I didn't realize that The World Needs A Hero album by Megadeth was so simplistic as far as playing went. I just nailed every solo on the album just about. Don't get me wrong I love the album, but it's definitely their most calm lol. It really is a testimony to how badass of an album Endgame is to see that kind of playing out of Dave after almost 30 years of him making music.

If we are talking quality in materials and how their HIGH ends are built I would have to disagree especially with the RR1s and their custom shop guitars. However alot of the pro series and lower end Jackson yes there has been a huge drop in quality I agree. However their higher end I have never had a problem with even after they were sold to Fender.

Maybe you havent, but theres been a serious drop in the quality of their custom shop, maybe not build quality, but you should consider yourself lucky if you get your guitar entirely built to the specs you gave, as you'll be one of very few.

I think the worst story i heard was someone who got a double neck jackson V made, based on Mustaines guitar. It took them 5 years and about 4 guitars and 2 cracked necks, before they got the specs "right"(he had to settle for some changes in the end). But there are NUMEROUS stories about getting the pins wrong, the colors wrong, not doing the neck right, not using the right wood, wrong pickup configuration, wrong holes, wrong placements of controls, anything you can think of.
