Guitar Player's Thread

Thanks for at least replying man. :)

I think i'll wrap the entire hole with aluminum foil. See if that works.

I also bought this capacitor today, not the correct value tho, but it crapped up the sound so much I can live with the possible hum.

I know I've had an issue with the wiring before that caused unbearable humming. I just can't remember for the life of me what it was. Will try asking my techie mate who helped me out. hurr durr

Ok I took it all off and rewired it all, just to make sure.

And aluminum foil didn't work that good:lol: But the guitar works and I can live with the hum untill I get a new pickup. :)

aluminum foil is l337
the guy who i bought my guitar from put it in somewhere and it has liek no hum

Also may I add this for the lulz.

When I was done I put my soldering iron on my desk.

I smell the sudden smell of melted plastic... What could it be?

Well..

Snus box got raped.

Rofl.

lolololol
What do you think would've happened if the soldering iron had come into contact with the snus itself?

Would probably smell like dogshit and I would throw it away.

And yes, I love snus alot, but it was only a little left, it was old, and I have a new box in the fridge.

Holy shit, that's exactly what I've been wanting. I've never really played an explorer, though. How is the access to the high frets? It seems like it'd be difficult to reach because the cutaway isn't deep enough...

yeah, my dream guitar <3<3<3
and i have an epi explorer, it's easy to reach the upper frets, and mine is a set-neck, that one is a neckthru, so it should be waaaay easier

My dad has an old ESP explorer, i love playing it, but since he sees how i jump around and move when i play, he almost never lets me use it......fuck my life.

Wow, you must be an absolute tardprick.

No se he let me use it ONCE for a local gig, and he actually went and watched. He saw me headbanging and shit and it made him nervous like i might mess it up or something....but every one has tardprick moments you tardprick.

:err:

Dunno what guitar planet you've been living on, but if that isn't a deep cutaway I don't know what is. Compared to something like RR/Alexi guitars, your access is so much better, I personally wouldn't see a need to have any deeper of a cutaway unless you have a very deep thumb position on the neck and/or have banana hands that would get in the way of the body, but if that was the case just use a V-shaped guitar and problem solved.

That sucks. Before I bought my guitar, my dad let me take his 1971 Gibson SG Custom with me to school for about a year. So good.
