muffin, how do i route a GuitarRig sound into Reaper?

easiest way would be to just go effects->vst host module and load GR4 and add the effects you want there, given you have the cpu power to do this(shouldnt take much really).

Works like a charm to me

Fuck, my bad, totally misread "Reaper" as "Revalver" Sorry!

Yeah you need to find the .dll, go into "Options -> Preferences" and find the "VST" option down on the bottom in the categories on the left, from there you add the folder you have the Guitar Rig 4 .dll in, and it should scan and find anything in that folder, you might need to hit "rescan directory" if it doesnt automatically find it. From there you just hit "FX" on the track you want GR4 to be in, and find it in the list of VST's there.

I figured out how to work EZ Drummer on mac-reaper now. Was pretty simple, I just patched it up with a MAC patch and got a activation key to it. It was pretty rage though because the keygen was a .exe so i sent it to my friend and said "run that for me. tell me the key and dont ask why!"

That was a while ago though. Reaper in general starts to rage me. It might just be me or something but im using either PC or Mac it always gets some annoying bug or command stuck!

I have exactly the same problem but with Revalver. I have a patch and activation for for Revalver MKIII but when I run it in Reaper and try to change things - like just the volume - Reaper told me an error and shut down.

Maybe, I feel like a idiot though. On PC I had the particular problem that it would cut a small piece from the recording or move it when i pushed stop recording, It was pretty enraging when it made everything out of sync.

Now I have a problem now and then that the recording or playing starts like 2 seconds before the marker. Which could be good too but I have no idea how these functions get activated!

My patch works but not under Reaper. I have no problems when I load it in adobe audition.

8505 has too much distortion and SoloC has absolutely no bass when you use it. Your guitars sound sooo weak when you use it...

Thanks to Nazgul, I now have a JE-1000!!! It's a copy, but obviously based exactly on the real thing. Got it yesterday, installed it today, doesn't work, so will have to do some more fiddling about tomorrow. I can't test it, because everyone is sleeping.

And my RR all naked...

Will post a soundtest vid when it's done. I now have a Jackson JE-1200 for sale, if anyone's interested.

Use less gain (i use passive pickups) ... and you have a bass guitar for that. TSE is also a fine plugin but i'm using the 8505 more.
I think their still way better then the amp simulations in revalver. And i find them easier to use because my saved patches in revalver don't work because of a cracked version.
