Guitar Player's Thread

Uhh? I just uploaded a better version and deleted the other one. Also, why epic fail if I do use the bridge pickup?

Also, I asked to look more @ the technique rather than the solo, and give tips on improving it, what I should do/ what not, am I doing something wrong maybe with my picking or sth? etc. etc.

Heres the better version, that I uploaded afterwards:

Just for the ppl who didn't see it and may wanted to watch

dude, yeah i looked at your technique. run before walking etc. you need to be more patient and just seriously, play easier shit. i'm not kidding. or just play slower. again, i'm not kidding. you need to stay within yourself more; you need to tone it down a lot.

If you want to actually get better then you wouldn't give a fuck.

+1

Agreed to an extent; your forgetting about the variations in people's tastes and styles. As for, alot of people can play fast, theoretically if it ain't clean it ain't playing it; it's playing something else.

Edit: @Swabs thats pretty nice bar the headstock. Would slay if it had an ebony fretboard to imo.

quoted for truth.

however, i'm not quite sure what's up with his headstock fetish people seem to be having

:puke:

 sorry, i hate the green pu's

oh god not another one..

Why is it so hard to be self judging on your guitar playing? I have been playing for almost 4 years, and i have never had the urge to record myself and upload it for public bashing. Really!

After the reaction you got in On-Topic, WHY THE FUCK would you post them again!?

You claimed to be 17, well you have the mental age of an 8 year old, well done.

Line 6 was made for beginner guitar players that think they know everything and think that the spider series is the best thing ever. i cannot even start on how many people get line 6 amps and think they're amazing but they're really crap. seriously, it just sounds so...digital and weird to me.
Not all Line6 are for beginners. I doubt the Spidervalve are...they look like they could be the savior of the spider line since the fuckin Spider 1,2,3 all had incredibly flat and horrible tone with no LIFE in it whatsoever. It just made me depressed trying it out  Only thing worth 10 minutes on it was the messhugah preset but i bet its VERY GOOD on the new tube spider. Bogner+v30 speakers+2 powertubes and 4 preamptubes. What could go wrong ? Didnt know bogner was involved with line 6 before now tho. yeah and i doubt the Vettas and HD147 are really bad either.
 I spose you have a point.

Edit: after reading some reviews of the Washburn, I think I might actually get one. Seriously, I haven't seen anyone on the whole internet say a bad thing about the guitar, and it's tone is massively complimented.
Don't trustz ze internet too much but i really think it might be KICKASS guitar. Go for it:lol: But i hate the headstock EQUALLY much as the ESPs Condome headstocks.

You are ze maaster of Geetar' playin bashing:lol: Well you got a good point. His tone sucked so bad! Thin and trebley. And um yes...way before his playing skills id say.

I've been writing a lot of songs lately for my bands 4th demo. And all the songs we have for it are all somewhat neo-classical but very symphonic. Some songs are just 100% neo-classical throughout the song. It's quite a change from our previous sound, which was just symphonic power metal. This new demo is also going to be the first with death metal type singing. It's hugely inspired from early COB, Nightwish, and Wintersun. I also tried hard to not make the songs sound too similar to any of those bands. We're going to start recording very very soon.

ANOTHER THING WE CAN AGREE ON!
Holy shit, you're on a roll

posting your experience just proves your ignorance.

@ KiraQC : WHY DOING THIS TO THIS INNOCENT GUITAR !!?? Dude, do you even realize the unequaled level of shit contained in your play ?? I wouldn't have posted this even for a JOKE !!

That should be true, but people still think PG is one of the most amazing guitarists, so he must be doing something right :p . And as i said, speed is a by-product of accuracy.

agreed. imo the essence of speed is first minimizing the movement; take the most direct path to the note etc., no finger flailing. then maximizing your range of motion within that new motion (strength/flexibility @ extremes etc.)

I practiced the same lick for my first year getting from 0-120 bpm in 16ths. This is actually quite slow, but now that i got the mechanics down, it's alot easier to progress.

I found a place where I can buy a Washburn X50 Pro FE for £379, considering that the pickups themselves are worth around £200 that = fucking bargain

I'd prefer the trans black, but if I can only get it for £379 in red, then red it is :p
