I know, you're right. But for now it is the best you can do, maybe a bit less gain but enough to keep sustain. You're other tones were a little "choppy".

how should i approach doing clean licks like the ones in Warheart's new vid? i know how to condition myself for playing literally hours on one stinkin lick at 10 bpm just need some more tips like on my picking i guess thanks

Use less gain, and counter that with picking harder, and muting hard helps.

I made another vid. I've been dying to learn this riff for ages and I finally did it tonight since I have the time. It's the intro to Arch Enemy's new song, Blood On Your Hands. I only played that intro lick which I only learnt earlier!! And did a little close up because there's nothing else to see.
I'm not expecting "OMG UR A GOD", I just thought I'd share it since this is the guitarplayer's thread 'n' all.

Dragonforce sounds like a cool idea, actually. I might see what I can do. I'll need to tune my guitar back up to E aswell so it'll probably Sunday night 'cause I'm busy Sat. I can have a go Monday too but then I'm back to work on Tuesday.

I actually did a short recording of that a while back ago, including the two solos that follow where you stopped. Friedman's I believe.
I've actually been getting into DF. Unfortunately, if you heard one of their songs you've heard 'em all
