Can I ask everyone here to do me a favour?

I'm playing a festival next week and I've already learnt all the songs but I didn't realise that one of the solos was mine so I have to come up with something cool before next Friday and I'd just like some ideas on what would sound cool.

Here's what I've got to play over:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/t9to3p

The original is tapping in 8th triplets which doesn't sound too impressive and 16th triplets would be WAY too fast, so I'm thinking either a cool phrased written solo or a repetative 16th note picking thing in the style of Alexi but I'm having trouble.

Anyone wanna stick something in the Lead track and re-upload?

Here's something I wrote out. Didn't finish, but there are some ideas in there you could use. I took the sweeping part from something I had planned for the pttr BT. And sorry if the fingerings are weird, I tried my best to imagine I was actually playing it.

my suggestion is just.....improvise.lol...yeah im laidback kinda player

Hey that sounded pretty nice :D Though i'm no expert on string skipping diminished arpeggios, and how they are supposed to sound.. It sounded like it was in beat with itself and it sounded nice. Love your guitar!

Thanks for that!

Inhe, that vid was cool. I think the only thing I could comment on would be the timing. Try working on just the pull offs to get strength so you can do the whole lick easier. It requires it because of the wide stretch. Something like:

e-18p15p12----12h15-
b---------------------
g-----------18-------

Making sure you'll accenting with the left hand and the right hand and of course using a metronome. Then, when it comes to doing that stretch on both strings, it'll be a little easier to get it even.

e-18p15p12-------------
b-----------------------
g-----------18p15p12---

I read this when i was at work, but i didn't have time to comment it. But you're definitely right about that. I think the hardest thing i had when i started practicing it was the stretch obviously, and then keeping the strings quiet, but i think i got that down pretty good, so i'll just work on better timing and accenting. Thanks for the feedback!

Some phrasing ideas popped up when i listened to it, but i think it's much easier if you come up with something yourself, that you feel comfortable playing.

dude i always wanted to try that wahwah the samples that ibanez has online are hardcore gay and i think don't do the justice to this pedal
what do you think? does it sound the same way as ibanez represented it
is it capable of better sounds?

Thanks a lot! Electronics classes payed off, i seem to understand these wiring schematics, but if i run into any trouble i'll nag on you ;)

This is me playing some string skipping diminshed arpeggios, standing up! Not the greatest tone, as the sound was recorded with the inbuilt mic in my phone.

I know that it's not that good but I wanted to improve my not-existing solo writingskills

Ah yes, very nice! You must have taken speed beforehand though 'cause you played it at like 300bpm. Excited about your new guitar maybe? :p

Thanks! I didn't realise I was playing it that fast until I saw the video on my PC . I also wanted to upload a small bit of Towards Dead End beginning sweeps and SNBN sweeps, but because of the problems with the different video formats I couldn't do it :(. I'm going away tomorrow and on saturday my gf comes over so I won't be playing much...I hope I can record some videos on sunday then! I know have J50BC+JE1000 in it!

i dodn't remember who posted some time ago this pics of some dude from esp boards with big collection of guitars.

pretty good. the timing was off, make sure its always 1-2-3 1-2-3, tic tic tac tic tic tac etc. after you get that "linear" pattern down then start moving on MJR style i have a lot of patterns that i do but idk how to make it look good on the forum like warheart did

DAMN I WANT MY RANDALL! I actually suspect thomann lost the thing now...

Here you go. You can do a lot better, but get from there what you want if there's anything that you like. The less I could do to someone who has provided me with accurate COB and Sinergy whole discography tabs,

I felt sorry for you Warheart ( ) so i decided to stop being lazy, so here's for you! It's not complete, but hopefully you can get some ideas or something from it. Somehow my solos always sound really happy, i doubt the song itself has a happy vibe, so this could give a nice contrast. I didn't have my guitar at hand, so some fingerings could be crazy shit, but you can figure that out yourself!

Rusty Cooley just sent me his contribution to help you aswell!
