I had one too a few years ago.
And I've bought a new 12-string acoustic two days ago. Sounds pretty awesome. I will record a few Metallica things when I'm ready with exams...

Cool stuff. I meet with my dad one time a week to play some own acoustic stuff, I really need this diversity. I would freak out if I would play metal and nothing else.

i keep my pick ups as close to the strings as possible without interfering with the string's magnetic field

What we're talking about is when your strings are to close to the pickup it's has an magnetic effect. The pu works like a magnet and attracts the strings...

No. The pickup has a magnetic field which is constantly broken with the effect of a moving string which will create a flowing current that tracks the strings vibration!

Follows Faraday's Law.

yes, but when your pickup is to close to the stirngs then what I've said will happen. when you have a tremolo you can try it. pull it down and you can see what will happen...

Thanks to everyone that participated, especially those of you that have done something for every jam: Inhe, Mystique, Earth Breather, dave etc. It's also been great hearing some of the guys that are new to the jams play over this backing track, very cool stuff there Lowberg, innuenDO & Jose! I look forward to hearing you all again on the next jam.

I have all the files saved on my computer and will leave them there for a few days. If anyone does want any minor adjustments made to their solos in terms of timing, let me know ASAP and I'll get right on it and re-upload.

thank you! your solo kinda surprised me as well...I wasn't expecting you to play fast after we did that really slow jam...I think it was jam 3 (cuz some ppl shredded on it, but we did slower solos).

and no wonder I suspected that Mitch and Jose's were reversed, cuz that first one definitely sounded like something Mitch would write.
