yeah, exactly my thoughts. he nailed the typical bodom progression on keys, and the intro is very much like Needled 24/7. and there's a mix of Triple Corpse Hammer Blow in there too :p
 
IF you think it sounds like a mash up of COB songs, good!!! I'm trying to make sound as bodom-y as possible. I think you guys will really like the rest of the song once its done. I didnt rip-off any bodom riffs or ideas on purpose, as I came up with every riff thats going to be in the song myself, but before I started writing it I listened to COB ALL WEEKEND and then saw them in concert so I probably subconsciously ripped them off without thinking about it while coming up with riffs, but I guess that was the point lol.

By the way, do you use equalizers for your guitars? When yes, do you do it "only" with your feeling or do you actually know what to do?

Because it was the bass of my father. I think about buying a cheap one, maybe after christmas.

By the way, I'll receive some extra money for working as a parking instructor at a museum (lol) in the next 2 months and I plan to invest it into my guitarbuild.
Yes, I'm serious about this. It may be a waste of money because the only time I worked with wood was at the age of 9 when I cut out batman images with a jigsaw. The last time I soldered was at the same age (Carrera cars for the win haha).

I think I'll spend the money on pickups first. I'll place them in my old Yamaha (great guitar, bad stock pickups) until I have money for the other stuff.

Recommendations? I thought about bareknuckle, but they are expensive. EMG would be cool, because they tend to cover up weaknesses of the guitar.

The same happened to me some months ago. I like how he uses his Jazz approach in the very fast lines:

Started tracking the song today, should finish basic tracking in the next few days, then onto vocals and solos.

I did a small mixtest of the first 30 seconds of it to get some opinions on sound aspect of things. I'm trying to make this song sound as bodomy as possible, even the production (trying to shoot for HCDR era sound)

ah and for some reason the first few notes of the keyboard got cut out when i mixed down, oh well you get the idea.

And if all the amazingness is going to include vocals and also a guest solo that's going to be epic! Man I really can't wait for it to be done!
